Please join us in congratulating this year’s recipients of the Outstanding GSI (OGSI) Award, and the Teaching Effectiveness Award (TEA).
Each year, GSIs are nominated for the (OGSI) award by their teaching department. Departments base their decisions on feedback received from undergraduates and on input from faculty who teach with GSIs. Our Outstanding GSIs also receive certificates of distinction from the GSI Center which they can then include in their teaching portfolio.
In addition, 15 of the outstanding GSIs received the Teaching Effectiveness Award for their essays on excellent strategies to address teaching and learning difficulties that arose in their classes. Their award-winning teaching ideas are available for you to adapt for use in your teaching.
While the annual Outstanding GSI Award and the Teaching Effectiveness Award ceremonies cannot be held this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have asked departments to find ways to publicly congratulate these outstanding instructors.
