Teaching Effectiveness Award Highlights GSI Ingenuity

Categories: Uncategorized

Congratulations to the fourteen outstanding GSIs receiving the 2015 Teaching Effectiveness Award (TEA). These GSIs devised excellent strategies to address teaching and learning difficulties that arose in their classes, and their award-winning teaching ideas are available for you to adapt for use in your teaching. Here is a small sampling of the strategies highlighted in the one-page essays: How can students develop greater efficiency in their labs? How might a Twitter feed help them learn to think in your discipline? What is productive failure, and how can it motivate students to participate and learn more in your section? These questions and more are addressed in this year’s TEA essays.

All the recipients’ names and links to their essays appear on the Award Programs main page. Information about the Teaching Effectiveness Award program can be found on the TEA page.
