The GSI Teaching & Resource Center’s workshops, seminars, and institutes offer UC Berkeley graduate students many opportunities for extending their skills and developing professionally as instructors in higher education.
A series of 80-minute workshops for GSIs on a wide variety of topics related to university teaching and the GSI experience.
A series intended for GSIs who may need to prepare a syllabus for a Summer Session course, for a future semester, or for the academic job search. This series will not be offered in spring 2015. Instead, a one-time workshop on syllabus and course design is being offered as part of the Workshops on Teaching Series on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, from 2:00 to 3:30. Please pre-register for the single-session syllabus and course design workshop.
Credit-bearing courses for graduate students to develop professional-level skills in teaching and mentoring in higher education.
This seminar assists faculty in working effectively with GSIs and providing guidance and mentorship in teaching.
Offered jointly with the Academic Services unit, this program empowers graduate students to excel in all aspects of academic life at UC Berkeley and in future academic careers.
