Fall GSI Teaching Conference Information
(Discipline-cluster workshops offered virtually; Interactive Theater offered in person on Berkeley campus)
The Fall GSI Teaching Conference is held on the Thursday and Friday before classes begin. Its purpose is to orient graduate students to their GSI role and equip them to begin teaching. All first-time international GSIs must attend on Thursday; all first-time GSIs, international and domestic, must attend on Friday. The 2022 Fall Teaching Conference will take place on August 18 and 19, 2022.
To be credited with completion, attendees must participate in the entire conference day. Discipline-cluster workshops will be held virtually; Interactive Theater performance will be offered in person on the Berkeley campus. Online pre-registration is required.
Teaching Conference for First-Time International GSIs

9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Pacific Time Zone)
9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Round 1
10:30 – 11:00 a.m. Break
11:00 – 12:00 p.m. Round 2
Please consult the Focus Sessions choices and descriptions. You must attend two different sessions for Round 1 and Round 2. Zoom meeting information will be provided closer to the conference date. Your CalNet ID is required to log in to the meeting.
All first-time international GSIs must also attend the conference on Friday, August 19 (see below).

(Engineering, Computer Sciences, Quantitatives, Qualitative Social Sciences, and Studio Art & Environmental Design)
