The Role of Faculty in Helping Graduate Student Instructors Improve Their Teaching
Faculty play a crucial role in preparing GSIs for the teaching they will do at Berkeley and in future careers. The GSI Teaching and Resource Center, an academic unit in the Graduate Division, established in 1989, works with faculty in designing programs and approaches that provide pedagogical mentorship to GSIs.
The ideas presented in this section can help you assist your GSIs in developing and improving their skills as teachers.
