300-level Courses, Spring 2008

All GSIs teaching for the first time at Berkeley are required to enroll in and complete a 300-level course on teaching in the discipline either prior to or concurrent with their first appointment. GSIs should enroll in the course offered in the department in which they are teaching. If a GSI has a time conflict with the course being offered in the teaching department or if the department has too few GSIs to make a course feasible, a GSI may enroll in a 300-level course in another department with the approval of the teaching department and with the consent of the 300-level course instructor in the outside department.

Follow this link for a list of courses whose instructors have stated that they are willing to consider admitting GSIs outside their departments. Please note that there may be other courses offered that are open to outside GSIs but whose information has not yet been provided to us. The list will be updated as additional information comes in.
