GETTING STARTED
|
Visit the classroom where you will be teaching and note how long it takes to get there. Assess what types of audio-visual equipment are available in the room, as this may impact your choice of activities. Notice the chalkboard and how much space it will give you to write out outlines, notes, etc. Think about how you will set up the desks in the classroom to facilitate learning. Speak aloud to see how your voice sounds in the room and how much you will need to project. Make sure you have a key to your office, and determine whether it is a shared space. If it is, speak with your office mate to stagger office hours. Be considerate in sharing this space.
You can also see your classroom online and see an inventory of its features.
